Yingluck on TV now.
Yingluck: Since Day One, I have been adhering to reconciliatory policies.
Govt's reconciliation work has involved engagement of various groups in society.
I have never interfered with legislative work, leading to accusations that I paid no attention to Parliament.
Amnesty is a way out of political crisis. It doesn't mean to make us forget painful lessons.
To achieve peace, nation must learn to forgive. Many things are hard to do, but we must try.
Amnesty bill has gone through normal parliamentary process. It has caused widespread opposition.
Many Thais aren't ready to forgive and have caused widespread misunderstanding and distortion.
My govt won't use majority control to to force the feelings of Thai people.
I'm proposing that the Senate use full judgement based on reconciliatory spirit and justice to victims.
Whatever is done by the Senate, I truly believe that House of Reps will accept it, based on nation's best interests.
