The fighting between the Myanmar junta and the Karen forces is still heavy at the border near Phop Phra. The junta dispatched more jet planes but they did not enter Thailand's air space today. The Thai air force already sent up 2 jets to patrol the area.Ergänzung:

BANGKOK -- Trying to calm the situation, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said Friday the incursion by a Myanmar fighting jet into Thai airspace was "no big deal" as the MiG-29 was just trying to turn back into Myanmar airspace.
Thailand belatedly dispatched two F-16 fighter jets to the Thai-Myanmar border in Tak province on Thursday afternoon after it discovered that Myanmar's MiG-29 aircraft has entered Thai airspace as it pursue Karen rebels along the border.
Some netizens say the Thai Airforce was so slow in reacting, unlike the police ready to clash with anti-government protesters. Others asked if the Thai government was assisting the Bumese military junta by allowing the plane to fly inside Thai airspace. Prayut added Myanmar has apologised.
The Airforce has ordered its Airforce attaché to remind Myanmar to respect the airspace of Thailand. Over eight hundred people from the Myanmar border fled to Tak province and some unidentified bullets landed on the Thai side of the border yesterday.
